Do you recall when your heart wants to say “No” but you end up saying “yes” to someone’s request? How much you get worried after that in order to satisfy the person with whom you have entered in an unwanted agreement.
I remember when I agreed to make a presentation for my friend who was supposed to put to the prospective clients. Not knowing about the complete details of what would be the right
Telling yes when you want to say no is a typical problem many of us face due to lack of will power or lack of personality or even due to lack of authority. Working in an office, it is not easy to refuse to your boss or close friends for any request they put to you, but there can be a better method of handling the same. Few tips here can save you a lot of effort and worries:
There are some practical cases where you are asked to play an unwilling host to a guest or to a party and you fret throughout the period for agreeing to be so. Smart people who are good at networking techniques ensure that expectations are never raised beyond a level.
However the best way to handle such a situation is to politely say “No” rather than going in round about ways. Probably the requestor will feel bad initially and may be cross at you, but this will put you out of the uneasy spot and bring you relief which will be more than the requestor’s unease.
A graphologist can easily find the traits in handwriting which reveals the tendency of a person to always say “yes” and then try hard to keep his promises. Such people are always busy and are unable to keep themselves happy. Needless to say, they are liked by all but not very successful in their pursuit due to their engagements in activities they should have bypassed. The most common trait is writing “m” like “w” and “n” like “u”. If you can change this to writing “n” like “n” and “m” like “m”, you are home.
We will talk more about positive thinking and talking in or future blogs as we are inching slowly towards becoming more lucky and successful.
