Something which very few people know that one should listen to your inner voice more than logic. Those who believe more in calculations and logic, ignoring their inner voice tend to have lesser success and more struggle.

What is “Hunch” – It is your experiences over your lifetime which have got concrete and settled in your impulse brain and signals you the response even without you thinking separately on any decision. For example, you see a snake under your chair, you don’t think. The response your brain will give you is to panic and jump off from that place. Those who are expert in snake handling will get a response of keep still. Do you really think in such instances? Actually - no. It is the response from hind part of your brain which has been tutored by you and others that snake is dangerous take the visual input and sends the signal of panic even without your thinking in split second.

If you put a snake in front of an infant, will it show the same reaction? No. The reason is that his brain still needs the data which will send him the signal that snake is dangerous. In absence of any such response from brain, it will go with its natural impulse of catching anything in front of him or moving away from it without any panic.

Why hunch is so important? It is because your experiences of your lifetime come out in some form of positive or negative feeling when ever you take any decision. When you get into logic and calculation and totally ignore your hunch, you might be ignoring your experiences of the life before taking such a decision.

While I was entering into a partnership deal for my business, my hunch was all the time screaming that something is not fine. I applied a lot of logic and suppressed the same. After few months I was poorer by a lot of money and some bitter experience as well. In another such experience, while I was looking for a property, my hunch said that one of the properties I was looking at will be good for me. With no such apparent reason, I went ahead and purchased it. After two years, it gave be a great profit.

However there is a flip side of this too. Your hunch will always tell you the best way forward if your grooming has been done in the right way or else it might even take you away from opportunities.
