Dear bloggers - I am resuming the biography of my father and will continue it for few weeks. I am sure, you will find this intresting. Your comments and feedback on improvements are most welcome.

My father had made up his mind to continue with his studies. Pressure tactics from my grandfather was not going to change his mind. He decided to talk to him again and convince him the importance of studies. He also thought of several examples to satisfy his father. It was Murari Singh who is now working in a bank in town. He sends money every month to his family. Another case is that of Keshav Bhaiya, who is in Ahemdabad working in a garment factory. He too sends money every month. Some more strong names came through his mind and his mind kept wandering. Night fell and he was not offered any food. Going hungry in the night was nothing new for my father after his mother’s death but today it was different. He knew that it was the punishment from his father to change his mind about studies and get back into putting labor on fields. Several thoughts kept crossing his mind and very soon he slept on the bare floor of his hut.
